Files are encrypted on your device and only the encrypted form reaches the server (the zero-knowledge approach); the server sees ciphertext but cannot open it. It is built for privacy-minded users looking for a Google Drive alternative who don't want to entrust their files to an advertising ecosystem, and it is included in every plan.
