# email.tr Contacts: address book and vCard import

email.tr Contacts is the personal address book that comes with your email subscription. It is included in every plan and works on the same account as Mail, Calendar and Documents. For people switching from Gmail or Outlook, vCard import support makes moving your address book a matter of minutes.

## Features

- **Rich contact cards:** multiple emails and phone numbers, postal address, birthday, company and notes on a single card.
- **vCard import and export:** upload your address book as a .vcf file and take it back in the same format whenever you like. Your data is never locked in.
- **Mail integration:** recipient addresses autocomplete from your address book while you compose.
- **Birthday tracking:** contact birthdays are recorded.
- Search and labels keep large address books quick to navigate.

## Importing contacts from Gmail (step by step)

1. In Google Contacts (contacts.google.com), choose "Export" and pick the vCard (.vcf) format.
2. In email.tr Contacts, use "Import" to upload the .vcf file.
3. Your contacts are added to your address book with their names, emails, phone numbers and other fields.

The same route works for Outlook and Apple Contacts: both offer vCard export. You can also move your calendar separately with an .ics file (see /en/calendar.md).

**How many contacts can I add?** You will not hit a practical limit in everyday use; large address books are managed with search and labels.

**Can I take my address book with me?** Yes, export it as a vCard with one click; moving to another service uses the same file.
